This is my first post about the Blog and Ping concept, also known in some online circles as Feeder Blogs. Everyone knows how important it is to get quality backlinks to your website and weblogs to create traffic and buzz.
This concept is not new, and in fact, it is similar to the idea of a blog network, or a network of micro blogs set up on popular sites like Squidoo, Hub Pages, Weebly, etc. with the purpose of creating backlinks to develop website traffic.
This blog will also serve as a platform to feed content from important RSS feeds related to the subjects of website traffic generation and link building. However, this is not a spam blog. Another way to look at this concept is the idea of "speed linking".
Speed linking is similar to micro blogging, in that you write short posts that include important links that you would like Google and other search engines to take note of. In some respects this can be also considered similar to bookmarking on some of the popular bookmarking services.
In other respects, you can set up a feeder blog or speed link blog like this as a repository of links related to a specific niche or subject, with the goal of highlighting inbound one-way links to other websites and blogs that you wish to feature on the web.
You can read more about this concept at www.TrafficBoosterBlogs.com, a project that is part of this same experiment. The core principal behind this is also often referred to as "Post and Ping", or Blog and Ping".
As you post links on a feeder blog (speed linking), you should occasionally "ping" your blog to alert all the major pinging services. This concept also revoles around the central theme that since Blogger blogs are part of the Google network, then this is a way to be assured that Google will be aware of links that you believe add value to the online community and that will provide relevant content and information.
This information is provided by Evan Beck, an online marketer interested in helping others understand how to build an online business. You may find out more about Evan Beck at www.EvanBeckOnline. com and at the Evan Beck Online Blog, my online traffic and list building workshop. Please leave your comments and questions with regard to your experience with this concept, or other techniques that you know help to increase or drive targeted traffic on the world wide web.
